Kind, optimistic and used to taking care of others. She is also good at making plans and snap decisions, unless it's about her sister Mary, in which case all of that goes out of the window and is replaced by nothing but love.

Annie was the oldest child in the orphanage. She's been helping with taking care of the others since she was young, and all kids saw her as their big sister.
The decline of the economy eventually brought an end to private orphanages like theirs. After some painful struggles, the adults decided to give up while Annie chose to stay where she called home.
Thanks to her business acumen, she used her pitiful saving as the start-up capital and made a living on an old computer.
All the kids who stayed were obedient to her words, except for Mary.
