Most likely due to her gang history, Mary is bossy and rude, and would sometimes start things that could have been avoided. But she is still Annie's best sister and assistant.

Homesick Delinquent
Mary grew up in an orphanage that bankrupted during the economic recession. The adults and some kids left, but Mary didn't.
The rooms were becoming emptier every day, creating a hollow in Mary's heart. She'd rather wander on the streets at night than see the helplessness of others. Gradually, she became a member of the local gang.
Mary couldn't face the comforting smile Annie was wearing. It was disturbing, even annoying. Lost and confused, she unleashed her chaotic emotions via stealing and brawling.
