For 3 years, Hiromasa Minamoto searched for the hermit and legendary biwa lute player, Semimaru. During a mid-autumn night, he finally met Semimaru in Ausaka and listening to him playing his treasured compositions, Ryuusen and Takuboku. The records say that Ryuusen, the melody of the flowing spring, weaved through the air with a haunting beauty. The notes were as delicate as a pebble skipping across the surface of a cold brook, as silky as the skin of a fair maiden. Unfortunately, this entrancing piece was lost to time.
