Takuboku
For 3 years, Hiromasa Minamoto searched for the hermit and legendary biwa lute player, Semimaru. During a mid-autumn night, he finally met Semimaru in Ausaka and listening to him playing his treasured compositions, Ryuusen and Takuboku. The records say that Takuboku, the melody of the woodpecker, soared up to the heavens with an invigorating sound. The music was as cacophonous as a group of woodpeckers, as explosive as the crackling of fresh firewood. Unfortunately, this stunning piece was lost to time.
